Write On The Wall!
Welcome to “the Wall”! If you are not quite sure what LoveUbecause.com, the blog or this page is all about, I encourage you to visit the About LoveUbecause.com page to find the best explanation, but essentially we are providing a platform for you to declare to your friends, loved ones and indeed the world, just what it is you love.
As explained on the “About” page …
“If you want to tell us about your mother, father, wife, friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, sister or brother, or maybe the neighbour down the road who unexpectedly shovelled your lane way after the last winter storm, great! Write about how you feel about a soldier in Iraq - and you don’t even have to know him - thank anyone you think did a special job, or went out of their way to help you. But if you love chocolate, your ‘69 Ford Mustang, new Nikon camera, pet chihuahua, gecko, or llama, this is the place to tell the world! “Write it on the Wall”! - and most fun of all, read what others have to say about those special things and people that add positively to their lives!
Yes, this is a blog and you are going to be able to read posts and articles from me on a variety of topics as they relate to LoveUbecause.com. But not only will I be writing about things that come to me as I go about my every day life, I will also be looking for inspiration for posts and new categories from what I find from comments that you and other visitors “Write on the Wall!”
So how did it come about? Well maybe a positive off shoot of the current economic crisis, because with all the doom and gloom filling the ether and air waves these days I couldn’t help but think it was time to push back with some positive energy - collect it in one place and give everyone a chance to show someone what they care about. Best of all, love is free, so why not give as much of it away as possible? All it takes is a little thought and a few moments of your time. And it is easy to spread the word too! If you like something you read, just posted a comment about something, or someone that you want to share, simply click the “Share This” link and you will be provided with the option to post the link to the page, post or comment to your favorite social network, or email it to a friend! “
Before you start, we would like you to take quick look at “Rules of Love” page, as we want to keep the content on the site as positive as possible. Not that we don’t want to hear comments and stories that tug at our heart strings, or deal with adversity, or conflict. In fact we encourage it, but we also want to know how the thoughtful, or loving actions of another person, or group of people shed a little light into that dark corner of your life and helped make your day, or whole life for that matter, a little brighter and easier to cope with. And of course, if you just have something uplifting and cheery to say – all the better! But other than that, take this as the green light to start adding your thoughts and comments to “the Wall”. Let’s make this one of the best places on the Net to surf for a smile, some encouragement for those who feel a bit down and some truly heartfelt sentiment about the people and things we love!

Ok … I’m not waiting for anyone else, I’m going to be the first to grab my imaginary can of spray paint, or stick of chalk and write on “the Wall”!
LoveUbecause … you took the time to visit, read and write on “the Wall”. Time will tell, but I have to say I am optimistic that with all the doom and gloom about the economy, international unrest and war about the world that people will be looking for at least a temporary sanctuary to get away from the constant bombardment of bad news that we receive on a daily basis through a variety of media outlets in print, on television and on-line.
Every expression left here by visitors about the people and things they love in their life can only go to heaping the love on one side of whatever cosmic equation that determines how much love is allowed to exist in the world. I am hoping it is unlimited – I know a lot of it seems to be hiding somewhere these days! But at very least, though I’m not sure that in love you can apply basic laws of physics, ( and I kinda think, best not) I think that some guy called Newton said something like “for each and every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” So at minimum, on balance, we should be hearing as much positive news as negative. So thanks for taking the first steps through this particular medium to “Share the Love” … leave a positive message.

Loveubecause….WOW! I LOVE this concept. I was just watching CNN this morning and wondering “why can’t we focus on the positive things in life??”. I truly believe what is in our thoughts is our reality. Positive thoughts equals a positive life. Thank you Andrew for getting this started. I will forward this to my friends. Let’s blog away (oh by the way…this is my first blog I have ever participated in! I think it is worth my time!)

Hmmm, so where do I start. I do not possess the writing capabilities of my dad, but anyone who knows me, knows that I write lists (LOTS of them) so here goes.
I love….
-my dad b/c he’s always there and has always been no matter what, hes complicated but in a great way, and he’s unbelievably creative
-my mom b/c she’s an amazing role model for me and tons of other women both young and old
-my brother b/c he’s the happiest guy I know even though he’s been through so much (inspirational to say the least)
-my boyfriend b/c he amazes me everyday; I could write an entire list but I wont or I would be here for a very long while:)
-my best friend who could also be referred to as more of a sister b/c she accepts me for me and tells it like it is!
-Kendra b/c she is amazingly positive, and makes Mike happy
-the rest of my family b/c they have made me into me
-my friends b/c of the many great memories we have and the many to come
-’Cuse b/c he taught me soo much and listened to all my problems (though he could never say anything back lol)
So I guess that’s a start…

I love Michael because he didn’t hesitate to give me his stuffed dragon as soon as he won it at Canada’s Wonderland. That was 8 years ago but it sums up the kind of person he is to me. Always selfless and always smiling.
