The Rules of Love – Posting comments on LoveUbecause.com
So you found your way to the “Rules” page. If you arrived here from other than our home page at www.LoveUbecause.com, or perhaps our “About” page, we suggest you visit both first, so you can get a better idea of what our site and blog is all about.
Not that we are not big believers in free speech, but the aim of LoveUbecause.com is to provide a positive, up beat environment for our visitors, so apart from our Terms of Use, which all visitors should review and agree to adhere to before using the site, we are making the following suggestions to make your visit and for those who follow, a pleasant, positive experience and to uphold the flavour of the site and the spirit in which it was created.
Rule #1: A MUST – read the Terms of Use!
Rule #2: The name of the game is to keep your comments and posts to “The Wall” and elsewhere on the site positive. If you are in disagreement as to what another visitor may have declared their “love” for, do so by voting for their comment as you see appropriate and/or leave a comment about something or someone you love better! There are a multitude of blogs and sites on the Internet to release negative frustration and energy, get in disagreements with others and to be generally unpleasant - please visit those if you feel the urge!
Rule #3: Sometimes “genius of the pen”, celebrated eloquence and simply, carefully thought out words that make others smile, laugh or cry are short and sweet – we encourage that, as do we longer versions of equally appropriate materials. If you want to simply say, “I love you, Dad”, or something similar and direct “Dad” to your comment (or not) - Wonderful! But if you wish to declare your love for your favourite film actress (or anyone else for that matter) by writing “ Ms. So and So, loveUbecause you have big …” , well you know what we mean - we are not talking ears, or feet here - perhaps better post that somewhere else, unless it can be done with appropriate and extreme, flair, creativity and eloquence. Hopefully you get the drift! :)
Rule #4: Please don’t stalk, harass, or publicly embarrass anyone. Use common sense and courtesy and “do onto others as …” - we are sure you know the rest of that one.
Rule #5: …there will probably be some more rules as the site develops. If you have any suggestions, we will be more than pleased to review them. Please send them to info@loveUbecause.com .
